Ribbet, Ribbet….
Use math logic in this “Toad-ally Cool” game stacking positions of jumping frogs! Can you predict the number and sequence of moves? Winning frog stacks up all!
-
Paper cups to represent frogs (less slimey!)

-
Start with 3 cups placed upside down in a row.
The ultimate goal is to “hop” each cup on top of another until all the cups pile into a single stack.
One frog can jump only one space. A stack of 2 frogs can jump only 2 spaces, and a stack of 3 frogs can only jump 3 spaces.
Jumps must be made in a straight line to the left or to the right —- AND jumps are never backtracked!
Frogs can only jump onto other frogs (they cannot land on empty places!
-
Change jumping directions.
Add more frogs…using the same logic for number of spaces that can be hopped as the number of stacked cups.
Place cups on a grid where frogs may jump along rectangular and other patterns (even hop diagonally while taking the shortest paths!
-
The winning frog is the first to finish stacking over all the cups….
How “toad-ally” cool is that?
